The 1st Annual Warsaw Ave Film Festival will be held November 21st, 5-11 pm at the Firehouse at 3120 Warsaw Ave. Showcasing documentaries on the theme of Social Justice and films made in or about Price Hill, the festival has attracted submissions from across the region and North America, including shorts, webisodes and feature-length films from Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Los Angeles, Montreal, San Diego, Austin and more. The evening will kick off with a discussion about the films and social justice led by Kevin Burke, Professor of Electronic Media at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music and Dr. Lisa Wagner Crews, Assistant Professor of Communication and New Media Studies at Mount St. Joseph University. Viewing will begin at 6 pm, with screenings on the first and second floors of the historic firehouse. Craft beer will be provided by Tap and Screw. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Donations for snacks and libations gladly accepted!
