The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) is currently working on two projects in the vicinity of Westwood, West Price Hill, East Price Hill and South Fairmount as part of the larger Lick Run Project:
Queen City Avenue, Phase 1: MSD is installing new storm sewers along Queen City Avenue between Sunset Avenue and the Queen City Bypass. Duke Energy is currently relocating utility poles in the area. Once this work is completed (anticipated by the end of July), construction crews will continue their work. Traffic will continue to be one lane in each direction. The project is expected to be complete by Spring 2015.
Rapid Run Park: MSD is installing a bioswale on park property along Rapid Run Pike to collect stormwater runoff from the park and surrounding area. The project is expected to be complete by Fall 2014.
Future projects: Nine additional projects, including the urban waterway in South Fairmount, are scheduled to start construction between Fall 2014 and Summer 2016 with completion of all projects by the end of 2018. More details to follow.
